How we automated manual work and helped an International Humanitarian Organization save costs using a rich-functional web app
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights, and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people.
The client wanted to create a system for legal document storage and workflow. The solution had to contain information that data collectors and reviewers use in regard to particular rights categories and population of concern in different countries.
We started by implementing and verifying client critical security-related requirements, including data access, database row-level security, and Sharepoint Authentication and roles checking.
The client provided technical and functional requirements, including expected analytics specifications. Apart from that, we regularly communicated with the architect and Business Analyst on the client-side.
The team of Akveo created well-defined requirements for the whole development cycle. We suggested splitting the scope into the five major milestones and with demos following each stage. This way, our team was on the same page with the client.
Akveo is one of the best companies we've had a pleasure to work with. Staying extremely professional, they provided us with top-notch services. The app performed as expected, and we've got the excellent early user feedback. We were continually impressed with Akveo's project management skills, and the quality of their deliverables.
